Never one to miss the chance to borishly abuse other bands, Noel Gallagher has yet again rounded on Bloc Party in his latest bout of inverted snobbery, claiming that the New Cross boys "over-intellectualise music".
The band, who have already received stick from Liam (he elequently described them as "****ing rubbish"), seem to have raised Noel's hackles by referring to some of their influences as being "interesting".
Noel, whose music hasn't been called that for over 10 years now, clearly feels that the use of such a phrase is overcomplicating matters.
He told Xfm: "There's no such thing as interesting. I've never sat down and listened to a record and gone and analysed it that much that I was 'interested'.
"It's like, put it on and within two minutes you're going, 'Its rubbish, turn it off, turn it off!' or stick it on again."
And to think people regard him as the bright one in the band...
