The Beach Boys Launch $20million Lawsuit

    Over memorabilia...

January 14, 2006 by Scott Colothan

The Beach BoysThe Beach Boys have launched a legal suit against two men who they allege stole memorabilia and recordings from them.

The sixties pop legends believe that Allan Gaba and Roy Sciacca infringed copyright laws when they allegedly took Beach Boys goods from a warehouse to sell.

They are now seeking a staggering $20million in damages from the pair.

The band kept sheet music, photographs, instruments, record contracts and many more items in Mr Gaba’s warehouse. They believe he removed a number of boxes without their permission.

Amazingly, with just half an hour to spare the band managed to stop items going on sale at the Cooper Owen auction house in London.

As the BBC reports Mr Gaba and Mr Sciacca are yet to respond to the allegations.
