
Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, M.I.A and Antony and the Johnsons are amongst the artists nominated for America’s prestigious Pantheon Music Award.
The Pantheon replaces the Shortlist Prize and only considers albums that have sold over 500,000 copies in the US. The album must also have been released between the dates July 1, 2004 and October 30, 2005.
The shortlist was whittled down to ten by a panel of 27 judges from the entertainment industry including Sir Elton John, John Legend, Shirley Manson, Beck and actor Elijah (Frodo) Wood.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles on February 6.
