This years Gigwise Awards 2003 was a huge success, with all money raised going towards the Big Issue In The North Trust.
The event, which took place at the Heebie Jeebies club in Liverpool, was hosted by Glen Patterson and featured bands 28 Costumes and London outfit Ludes.
Sponsoring the awards were Creative Labs for ‘Best Radio Show’, Blacksheep for ‘Twat Of The Year’, Live Magazine for ‘Best Live Act’ and Carlsbro for Best Unsigned Band’.
The winners were as follows;
Best Single: The Coral - Bill McCai
Best Album: The Darkness - Permission To Land
Creative Labs Best Radio Show: John Peel
Best Promoter: Glasswerk
Best Venue: The Zanzibar
Best Band: The Darkness
Best Gigwise Writer: Will Williams
Best Gigwise Photographer: Sakura Henderson
Blacksheep Twat Of The Year: George W Bush (2nd year running)
Live Magazine Best Live Act: The Coral
Carlsbro Best Unsigned Band: Day With Mary
