Kaiser Chiefs and James Blunt Head Brit Nominations

    Kaiser Chiefs

Insipid singer-songwriter James Blunt and Kaiser Chiefs have both received five nominations each for this year’s Brit Awards.

Blunt’s nominations include best British Male solo artist and best album for ‘Back To Bedlam’, while the Kaisers are also up for the best alum together with the coveted Best British Band gong.

Elsewhere in the slightly predictable nominations were Coldplay with three, and Oasis, Hard-Fi and Gorillaz each bagged two.

Arctic Monkeys are up for the best British Breakthrough Act.

The critic’s favourite Arcade Fire picked up three nominations in the international artist categories. Fingers crossed they trounce U2 for a change.
