Former Stone Roses guitarist, John Squire is releasing his second solo album âMarshallâs Houseâ on 9th February. This will be preceded by a new single âRoom In Brooklynâ on 2nd February. The album follows up the top twenty success of âTime Changes Everythingâ released in 2002.
The album boasts eleven tracks, written and produced by John Squire, along with co-producer Simon Dawson. Recorded in twelve days at Bryn Derwen in Wales, Squire worked with members of the band who toured with him last year.
The inspiration for âMarshallâs Houseâ comes from the paintings of Edward Hopper, the American realist, best known for his works of depression-era America in the thirties and forties.
The first single âRoom In Brooklynâ will be available on CD and numbered 7â vinyl and is backed by the brand new track âNighthawkâ.
Squire is now working on the first ever exhibition of his artwork. The exhibition will showcase all of his sleeve artwork from the legendary Stone Rosesâ covers through to The Seahorses, as well as his contributions to the Help/Warchild album projects.
