The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl’s classic ‘Fairytale of New York’ has been voted the favourite Christmas song of all time.
In the poll conducted by VH1, surprisingly Mariah Carey is in second place with ‘All I Want For Christmas’ while Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’ is in third.
Sir Cliff Richard’s ‘Mistletoe and Wine’ and Slade and Wizard appeared further down the top ten.
Meanwhile, ‘Fairytale of New York’ is being re-released next Monday (December 19) to help raise money for the Justice for Kirsty campaign.
Kirsty MacColl was killed in a boating incident while on holiday in Mexico five years ago.
