Details have been announced for a special Manchester charity gig, tickets for which will go on sale next week.
Manchester vs Cancer will feature a host of Mancunian musical legends. It will take place at the Manchester Evening News Arena on 28 January, and is being organised by former-Smiths bassist Andy Rourke.
Rourke will be appearing at the show with New Order, Badly Drawn Boy, Doves, Mani and Stephen Fretwell, with more acts set to be confirmed shortly.
Speaking about the gig, Rourke explained: "It will bring together people and bands that have made Manchester famous. It will be huge and the idea is that this will be the start of an annual event to raise money for charity."
Tickets for the gig go on sale at 10am on Saturday 17 December.
