Mercury Rev paid tribute to John Lennon by playing his track ‘God’ during a live show in London. The band were playing at the Shepherds Bush Empire last night (December 8) on the 25th anniversary of Lennon’s horrific death.
The Rev followed in the footsteps of U2 who performed The Beatles track ‘Norwegian Wood’ at a US show on Wednesday night.
Bono also broke into a verse of ‘Help!’ during the set’s ultimate song ‘One’.
