The Foo Fighters have had to drop out of hosting the 6 Music Selector after Dave Grohl fell ill.
The excesses of perennial touring have taken their toll on the ex-Nirvana drummer meaning he’s quit all commitments until the end of the year.
The band issued a statement to the show saying: "After an amazing yet gruelling year we are sad to announce that Dave Grohl is having to cut back on work commitments due to illness and that we reluctantly have to withdraw from this year's Selector."
Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinand are both set to take over a day on December 13 and 15 respectively. The bands will choose the music and have full reigns on the day.
