Foreign Born – 'We Had Pleasure' (Moshi Moshi) Released 05/12/05

Listening to ‘We Had Pleasure', it’s clear that Foreign Born must want to start yet another 80’s indie revival. It draws strong comparisons with early U2 or Echo and The Bunnymen, with its fulfilling anthemic vocals that could be poured out in to any venue. Alongside the jangly guitars that hypnotically ring out, as well as the familiar sound of the synths, it is like listening to a proper British 80’s track again (even though they do come from California.) Although it is a good piece of music, you are left thinking how much better the classic one’s were.
