X Factor opera singers G4 are storming ahead of The Darkness in the mid-week charts for the albums number one slot.
However, all is not lost, as Eminem releases his greatest hits album ‘Curtain Call’ on Friday and may kick the ex-buskers into touch with just two days of sales.
HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo is confident Mr Mathers will claim the top spot and save any blushes. He said: “Eminem is by far the biggest recording artist in the world, so it’s a massive deal whenever he releases a new album.
“I fully expect ‘Curtain Call’ to sell more copies in just two days than any other album will manage in a week of trading, to give Eminem yet another number one.”
He continued to The Star: “We also expect him to go on and top the charts at Christmas.”
