The Rolling Stones have announced the details of their sprawling 2006 European tour.
The tour kicks off at Barcelona’s Olympic Stadium on May 27 and takes in famous stadiums and arenas in twenty European countries.
Prices for all the shows will be staggered so that an array of people will be able to afford the shows. The average ticket price across Europe is expected to be 75 euros.
Tickets for the rock legends’ shows in the UK, Holland, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Austria and The Czech Republic will all go on general sale from 9am this Saturday (December 3).
However, American Express cardholders can get tickets early, including the Wembley Stadium on August 20, from today.
Tickets details for the remaining dates – including Ireland – will be announced shortly.
In a fresh move, The Stones are getting several hundred seats built into the stadium set so that fans can be onstage with them.
Tour director Michael Cohl said: "The band is redefining the concert experience - there is nothing even comparable to the thrill of being onstage with the Rolling Stones and seeing a stadium show from the band's perspective. For fans this will be the greatest tour yet"
