The John Peel tribute single featuring Sir Elton John, Roger Daltrey Dave Gilmour and others hits the shelves. The cover version of The Buzzcocks’ seminal ‘Ever Fallen In Love’ also features Peter Hook, Robert Plant, The Futureheads, El Presidente and The Datsuns.
Pete Shelley who wrote the original version of the song also appears on the track.
The idea was thought up by the great DJ’s son Tom Ravencroft, with all proceeds from the song going to one of Peel’s favourite charities Amnesty International.
The song features vocal duties from Sir Elton John, while Hooky plays bass and Pink Floyd’s Dave Gilmour plays rhythm guitar.
