The Breeders made a surprise live appearance last night – standing in for TV On The Radio. As reported yesterday, TV on the Radio were forced to cancel their gig after frontman Tunde Adebimpe’s father suddenly passed away.
Last night, The Breeders played an impromptu 45 minute set at The Scala in London, rattling through eight of their classics.
The performance marked a special occasion as bassist Jospehine Wiggs played with the band for the first time since the early nineties.
The Breeders play Blackheath Halls in London on November 19 and 20 as part of 4AD’s 25th anniversary shows.
