The Rolling Stones have been labelled as “too old” to hear their own music by angry residents near to one of their gigs.
The wrinkly rockers played the SBC Park stadium in San Francisco on Sunday night, but city officials were inundated with complaints over the noise levels.
Residents complained of windows and floors vibrating and excess noise levels.
Ted Weinstein who lives miles away from the stadium, told reporters: “I’ve got no artistic judgement against The Rolling Stones, but just because they’re too old to hear their music doesn’t mean their music has to be so loud.”
Bob Davis, the executive director of San Francisco’s Entertainment Commission said that officials were to attend last night’s concert to assess the volume levels.
