REM guitarist Peter Buck made a surprise appearance over the weekend joining Patti Smith on stage.
Smith was playing at the Crocodile Club in Seattle last Friday, owned by Buck’s wife, when the REM star joined her on stage.
He played eight songs with the punk legend covering Patti Smith classics and a version of Bob Dylan’s ‘Like A Rolling Stone’.
Buck was joined on stage by members of his Minus 5 collective.
It’s not the first time the pair have shared the same stage together, Smith appeared at REM’s Hyde Park gig this summer to sing on ‘E-Bow The Letter’.
