
Gorillaz kicked off the first night of their five date stint at the Manchester Opera House last night (November 1).
Performers on the night included, Neneh Cherry, De la Soul, a typically mental Roots Manuva, Martina Topley bird and a surprisingly sane Shaun ryder who even managing the odd hand gesture and a dance.
Gorillaz performed obscured by lighting at some points, but Damon Albarn and co. did come in full view for large sections of the show.
Spotted in the crowd and partying at the after show were some of Manchester’s most famous faces in rock and entertainment, including Gary (Mani) Mounfield, Peter (hooki) Hook and fat man Johnny Vegas.
Gorillaz continue there nights at Manchester opera house until the 5th November.
