I am, always have been and will always be against illegal substances.
This is partly because of my upbringing and partly because I've seen the effects of it. You want to see what damage drugs can do? Speak to the two guys who worked on the 26yr old father who had a heart attack at Knowsley Hall Music Festival and later died at hospital because he was jacked up on speed and his heart couldn't take it.
We also have our regular 'swimmer' at Creamfields. Without fail, there will always be someone lying on the floor doing a breast stroke action. What they think they're going to achieve, I couldn't say. Last year we had a guy come in who had lost all his clothes apart from his underpants and was completely covered in mud. One of my colleagues made him a poncho out of a blanket to cover him up so he could get back to his tent. Oh and the guy who, in his wisdom, realising he couldn't take drugs into the festival, decided to down the bottle of GHB he had and spent the beginning of the festival out cold on the floor of our field hospital. I got pretty worried about him, no response to pain stimuli.
Ketamine is one I really don't understand. Why the hell is a horse traquilizer fun?
Oh and ladies, may I please be first to tell you that putting a load of drugs in a condom and shoving it up your vagina to get it past the sniffer dogs, is NOT a good idea!
