How are we all feeling about it?

Shit's going to hit the fan in a few years... wars, famine. Brilliant.

To all the coked-up public schoolboys whom our economy is controlled and was shafted by, I hope you've enjoyed your money... who knows, you might be swinging from a lampost pretty soon!!! The shame!!!

You too, credit card bubble-heads, buy to let wankstains who treated homes as pension funds and investments instead of something that people should be able to afford even on modest wages.

A cuntish bunch of gangsters who turned the housing market into a racket, a pyradmid scheme and encouraged idiots to take on credit for things that they could not afford to pay back.

And all those fools who took out the credit to spend spuriously on bollocks clothes, TVs and flash cars to keep up with the neighbours who were doing the same.

What the fuck is wrong with saving up with things or doing without? Ah well, open up any magazine or turn on the telly and you're bombarded with messages about making money, luxury flats, buying abroad... and fuck it, everyone's doing it anyway.

Maybe I'm naive or idealistic but I never saw the attraction in being devoted to material things.

The ideal of simplicity is always much more appealing... shelter + privacy + food + water + companionship = happy days.

I'm not advocating we should all just revert to a hunter gatherer existence, but I think we'd all be better off if that human trait for greed was able to disappear!

I'm gonna be looking for another house next year and letting out my old one, I haven't got a pension, so it's the best option for me. Is it bad for me to think about the future for me and my family when I retire? I haven't got any credit cards and I'm not in debt (got a mortgage to pay though) but sometimes I do struggle. Is that bad?

I can't wait for doomsday, but I'd rather it was zombies than Nukes. You can fight zombies.

2012 it all kicks off apparently.
Nibiru will be back, the one the Mayans called "The Destroyer", and the one NASA knows about but doesnt like to discuss.

So that's around 4 years to max out all your credit cards and have fun kids cos in 2012 we'll either be dead or survived to exist in a Mad Max style aftermath.

shelter + privacy + food + water + companionship = happy days.

i'll go with that.
i suppose its just what most humans do... to try and get greedier which is probably why were never going to do anything about global warming...cos people are just selfish!

i think you've been unlucky with the housing market aaron. but on the other hand happy that a lot of these parasites who own houses and land are also losing out. I hate the way they don't (or didnt) even need to use their brain, anyone could do what they do if they had the same money in the first place.

i think the people at the bottom who don't have money in the first place (meeeeeee) won't be much affected as we'll always be able to live in luxury compared to the 3rd world, and if you don't really care about money or possessions, then it wont be much change.

So....in conclusion, all in all, rich people lose out on their valuable money. when i say rich people, i mean middle class, or anyone above the average wage.

some people need to stop moaning and enjoy living in the best times humans have ever lived in.

Noel Edmonds nicked his orbs from that episode of new Dr Who when the Master turned up and took over the world with flying orbs. Noel Edmonds is the Master! He even has the beard!

No, no, it's not. I'm paying a mortgage myself- I'm not trying to say debt or loans should be outlawed or anything!

But money should always be loaned responsibly and realistically. Giving a mortgage to someone who can afford to pay it back is different to giving credit cards to students or cars on finance to people on the dole.

I'm criticising buy-to-let where people do it simply in the belief that a property with an already inflated price will sell for a lot more in the future.

It's not going to happen, gives people massive amounts to pay back, and means that they can not afford a house and if the whole market is like this, is simply a racket.

Aaron, spot on fella. Some excellent points.

I think the dickheads in the American banking/housing industry who came up with the amazing idea of giving cheap mortgages to the ‘lower class’ and then not telling them they were gonna increase their payments 500% are to blame. They created this domino affect that has hit everyone on the planet and will no doubt only get worse. These fuckers should be strung up and made examples of.

An idea would be to regulate them and limit the amount of money they make. If you step out of line you are obviously committing fraud therefore you must go to prison!!

The same goes for energy companies. I mean, you can only spend so much of the money you have made so why not re-distribute your wealth to the people who are struggling to pay their mortgage or struggling to pay their gas & electricity bills.
Stand up and be counted for what you are bout to receive
