Having already released the E.P. 'When Good Kids Go Bad', embarked on their first UK tour in March 2008, and twice received airplay from the esteemed Mr Steve Lamacq on Radio 1, pop-punk hellraisers Town Bike have been busy little punks. With an appearance supporting The Wedding Present and Los Campesinos at the Indietracks festival at the end of July and a debut album due for imminent release in October, they're about to get even busier.
They are however seeking a new drummer to keep the Town Bike machine well-oiled during this exciting time. Their influences include:
The Ramones
Daphne & Celeste
Shampoo
Helen Love
Jimmy Eat World
Green Day
Girls Aloud
The Down and Outs
The Hold Steady
The vacancy is for 12 months, with a view to being made a full-time member of the band, depending on how things pan out.
Check out the tunes on www.myspace.com/townbike and if you like what you hear, are into any of the above bands and are available to tour the UK in October/November, e-mail Sarah at town_bike@hotmail.co.uk for an audition.
Lots of love
Town Bike x
