<br />Is it me or are french musicians making a by line for these shores to infiltrate our once great empires music scene. Don't get me wrong I love the French, I just wonder what is happening over there? are the kids just becoming cooler? or has this been planned for a while? A few of my current french favourites struting around london at the moment include John and Jehn and Underground railroad.

French rock is pretty cool at the moment, I love Underground Railroad. They played at our old F*CK night at Korova, but unfortunately we were away and couldn't see them! But I've been in touch and i'll bring them to Liverpool again, to play at our Liverpool Calling night!
I think the good thing about French music is that they don't have NME nor BRIT school...even the unoriginal bands who rip off The Libertines are usually much better than the holloway road wannabes over here.
There's a compilation called "Paris Calling" which features some really cool french bands such as Second Sex (their "Lick My Boots" track is totally ace, very Gun Glub), The Plasticines, Les Shades etc...i recommend it!
Pravda are ace, and Nelson are fucking fantastic. We did a "Paris Calling" night at Korova last year, with Brooklyn, Sheraff and Nelson...Nelson were just amazing. I hope to do something like that again!
