Having been given the title of ‘Best Music Festival’ by Rolling Stone, Bonnaroo has seen some legendary acts play since it began in 2002. Set in Manchester, Tennessee, it is dedicated to the roots of soul, rock n roll and musical progression.
Bonnaroo is not however a festival that lives by the stereotypes that segregate music. James Brown has played alongside The Roots at one of the 8 stages dotted around 100 acres. Bonaroo constitutes a mini town when it is in full swing with a cinema, beer fest, theatre productions and yoga classes.
Rolling Stone continued to name it as one of the 50 best moments in rock history. This festival doesn’t rely on advertising and promotion; it’s big and bad enough to stand on its own for another year.
