The Underage festival hasn’t been around long, however it has already proved very popular amongst young people. It started in 2008, set up by Sam Kilcoyne, still a teenager himself. The festival takes place at the beginning of August each year in Victoria Park, London. Up to 10,000 teenagers each year attend the festival, which includes various popular Rock, Pop and Indie artists, such as Professor Green, Crystal Castles and Chapel Club.
The festival has a strict age boundary, only welcoming 13 to under 17′s, making it the world’s first underage festival. Underage hosts numerous, talented, young artists each year and even more are yet to play at the top annual destination for young people. The festival is a growing sensation and is becoming more favoured the minute with teenagers. Underage continues to provide a stage for noted artists to perform for a growing teenage audience.
