Ibiza Rocks was started in the summer of 2005 with the aim of bringing guitar-based and alternative music to the dance Mecca that is the White Isle. Taking place at the highly intimate surroundings of Bar M – with a capacity of just 700 - in the resort of San Antonio, the event is run by the team behind the legendary, infamous club night Manumission.
Despite its intimate setting, Ibiza Rocks has managed to attract some huge names from the indie world. The likes of Kaiser Chiefs, Editors, Kasabian, Klaxons, LCD Soundsystem and Maximo Park all graced the event in the opening two seasons.
Taking place weekly, Ibiza Rocks is continually growing in popularity, thanks to Channel Four and high profile acts coming back year after year. Ibiza Rocks promoters are hoping that the event will eventually transform San Antonio into the Camden Town of Ibiza.
