Since the foundations of the Moor Music Festival were laid in 2004, the ethos of the festival has not changed. It’s a festival put on for people by people. Among its organisers are a Painter and a Librarian who just happen to share an intense passion for music and culture.
Set in the rolling hillsides of West Yorkshire, the Moor Music Festival not only has stages catering for all musical tastes – including the Homespun tent, the Moor Live stage and the Earl Hickey Tribute Lounge – but there is also a Green Room which screens documentaries .
Befitting of the rural surroundings there are also areas providing organic food and alcohol. Moor Music is a family based festival however, and children under the age of twelve can get in for free if they’re with a guardian.
Since 2011 the Moor Music festival has been taken over by the family friendly Beacons festival.
