The Rip Curl Boardmasters, Europe’s largest surf, skate and music festival has been running for around 25 years. The event combines World Qualifying series surf competitions with a music festival. What more could you want?
The bands play on the Cliff Top overlooking Watergate Bay, with a mix of pop, rock and indie acts to choose from. The music starts from 3pm into the evening. There are skating competitions and a chance to see some world class surfers in action. There is also Freestyle Motorcross display featuring top BMX riders. As well as the Unleaded! music site, you can chill out and watch great bands at the Beach Sessions.
You can stay in the Rip Curl Boardmasters Campsite in the Sunnyside Holiday village at a rate of £25 per person for the weekend or £45 for the whole week. Alternatively you can opt to stay in one of the towns many hotels and B&Bs.
This festival has everything for the music fan and the skate or surf head. Sun, sea, beautiful beaches, top bands and very little chance of getting muddy!
