This weekend, Brighton plays host to some of the most exciting new names in music at the Great Escape festival - alongside a few major bands from the UK scene.
Now in its seventh year, Brighton will once again be packed with industry executives and music fans alike, all jostling to see some of the amazing music talent on offer across the seaside town's many live music destinations.
This year, big names such as Maximo Park and Mystery Jets perform alongside the likes of Aiden Grimshaw, Grimes, Chew Lips, Foxes, St Lucia, Friends and many more. The full line-up for the 2012 event is immense - and hugely impressive, but we've pulled out 25 recommended bands for anyone heading to the Brighton coast this weekend with music on their minds...
