Despite what your ears may suggest - Eli and Fur are not from Sweden.
It is hard to believe that synth-pop this perfect could be crafted from an upbringing in London, but this techno-obsessed duo have been living in London since the age of 16, making a name for themselves on the DJ scene and now stepping into the pop world with debut single, 'Sea Of Stars'.
Blending influences - Eli has been singing, playing guitar and writing songs since the age of 12 while Fur spent her younger years obsessing over pop, dance and house music while focusing on art and design - the result is a finely crafted pop sound that is achingly cool but rooted in a deep sense of great pop music. The result bears similarity to the work of much-loved European artists such as Annie, Sally Shapiro or even Robyn, as heavy club beats blending with crystal clear female vocals on the duo's debut track, making for one of the most contrasting, and impressive pop debuts of 2012.
In their former DJ role, Eli & Fur performed at Glastonbury as well as destinations of international cool such as Tokyo and Los Angeles, but as a new pop prospect, they're set to reach even further. Listen to 'Sea Of Stars' below.
