Whether it's because they're signed to ultra-hip French record label Kitsune or whether it's the reason WHY they're signed to ultra-hip French record label Kitsune there's one thing you need to know about Citizens!. They're cool. Very, very cool.

Five indie London boys (you know the sort - skinny jeans, cheekbones, great hair), Citizens! specialise in laid back, couldn't-care-less indie-pop. Their first single 'True Romance' caused a minor stir on the blogs when it was released at the end of 2011, but their new electro-infused release 'Reptile' ups the pace and the band's move into the mainstream. Radio-friendly riffs and an incessantly catchy chorus, 'Reptile' is the second single from the band's debut album 'Here We Are' - which is due for release on 28 May 2012.

The album was produced by Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos, who passes the quirky indie-pop baton onto these boys - who take it from his hands gladly. Single 'Reptile' is released on 16 April 2012.

We saw Citizens! live last week, and we highly recommend catching the band when they tour the UK in June 2012. Dates are as follows:
