The Datsuns Go Outta Their Minds

There's been no let up in the rock revival of raunchy guitar riffs and fuzzed-out solos and the Datsuns are still at the forefront of the revolution. After their highly acclaimed debut in 2002, the New Zealand band returns to release second album 'Outta Sight / Outta Mind' on June 7. 

“It’s an album of stories,” explains Dolf, “some perhaps mildly autobiographical, from us being on the road these past two years, the weird things, the people we’ve seen and met; the changes in our relationships with those around us. We’re constantly moving, constantly running from one drama or another.”

The Datsuns have spent the last few months recording and encapsulating their sound onto their CD. Not an easy task, but with the legendary John Paul Jones at the helm, they've done a pretty good job. With their second album, the band wants to take their fans on an even more wild and unpredictable rock’n’roll rocket-ride full of madness and guitar wielding.
