The Vines announce their return from their madness induced hiatus with new single ‘Ride’ on March 8th (Heavenly/EMI). It’ll be the first track to be taken from the new album ‘Winning Days’ which will be released on March 22nd. The Vines will also be making a one off appearance at London’s Electric ballroom on February 19th.
Craig Nicholls says of the new single “Well the opening guitar part starts off really scratchy to sort of throw you off the scent, lull you into a false sense of security. There’s a kind of beat-music verse and then the chorus comes in and it starts getting a bit more… well, loud. That’s where we decide it’s time to set off the fireworks that Patrick has been carrying in his bag since high school.”
‘Ride’ is backed by a new composition ‘Give Up, Give Out, Give In’ which was recorded in Sydney last year. The 7” vinyl also features a newly recorded version of live favourite ‘Drown The Baptists’.
