Ou Est Le Swimming Pool frontman Charles Haddon has died after an apparent suicide attempt at the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium. The singer killed himself shortly after the band’s set on Friday (August 20). He was 22.

The tragedy has sent shockwaves throughout the music industry as it came just weeks before the London group were scheduled to release their debut album. In a statement, the band said: "We are all so deeply saddened to confirm that our friend Charlie Haddon passed away yesterday, Friday 20th August."
