The myspace trail is a well worn path for many an A&R man and it is for Gigwise. Clicking a random band in the friends list of a well known act can either unearth a gem or lead you down a path of turgidness. Luckily for us we recently stumbled upon Canadian's The D'Urbervilles after a little expedition that began on the profile on Born Ruffians. Signed to Out Of This Spark, the four piece create edgy walls of indie sound, atmospheric yet urgent and completely brilliant. The songs are anthemic and intelligent at the same time, a prime example being 'Dragnet' which courses a cerebral unease. They released their latest album 'We Are The Hunters' in their homeland on Febraury 19 but it is a record primed for wider recognition, we just hope they get it.
