OK, their name sounds like something a bunch of nine year olds thought up after drinking too much fizzy pop but there's no doubt that musically Super Extra Bonus Party certainly prick the ears of Gigwise's superior music taste. Yesterday (February 27) they won the Irish version of the Mercury Prize, the Choice Music Prize, for their self titled debut album which pitches them somewhere in the realms of Hot Chip's synth-pop brilliance. They already being hailed as the saviours of the music scene in their home country and quite frankly we can't wait for them to make the short hop across the Irish Sea.
