They Tried To Make Her Go To Rehab...So Why Won't She Go?

Rumours are circulating today, yesterday, the day before that…well for weeks actually about Amy Winehouse. Is she still with it? Well, last weeks collapse sort of proved that she was/ and still isn’t. Sadly.

One of the UK’s most distinct female singers for years, the first time I saw Winehouse was when she appeared plugging her first album, ‘Frank,’ on ‘Later…With Jools Holland.’ She was young, round(er) and looked like she had the world at her feet. Now she just looks like she’s got the weight of the world on her shoulders.

The fall from grace has been particularly spectacular, and, the brightness of the media spotlight at times quiet uncomfortable to have to watch. But does she deserve the critics? Or, is this just another case of a popstar being unable to deal with fame? (like Natalie Imbruglia so kindly pointed out on Sunday!)
