About
Brought together by their mutual love of hair products, this group of young English gents decided there was more to life than just fine fringes and Fred Perry shirts. They realised that their destinies lay in making beautiful music.
Joking aside, this band are committed to writing music with a great passion, delivering intense, chaotic and memorable live shows.
After recording their debut E.P Painting By Units with Tom Woodhead of Forward Russia, this five piece aim to make 2009 their year, giving nothing less than 110%. They play every show, no matter where, no matter when, to no matter how many.
Created in summer ‘08, These Waves have broken out of their home town of Derby to play shows with many touring bands including This Town Needs Guns, Wintermute, Blakfish, Tubelord, Rolo Tomassi, Flood of Red, Ghost of a Thousand, Lost Alone, Templeton Pek and many more. Never shy of travelling to play a great show, they have travelled the length and breadth of the country, from Liverpool to Cambridge, and Leeds to Birmingham

“Sounds like a box of gliter thats been knocked over. Melodic, jingley, mucho fun, but o so dirty. Total sex on a stage.”
“Twiddly, fantastic rock action from five pretty, pretty boys that like to get naked for cameras. They like At The Drive-In and Meet Me In St Louis and Mario Kart. Sounds like a perfect band to me.”
