    About

Enter… rock’s shining new heroes, The Bright Young People. Hailing from Rhyl, North Wales, Alternative/Dirty-Glam two-piece The Bright Young People consists of vocalist/guitarist Lee Dawson and drummer/vocalist Casey Ingram. Formed less than twelve months ago, the band are buzzing from their riotous live shows & relentless touring schedule and gained the backing of legendary Alan McGee & BBC’s Adam Walton. Think The Stooges, Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age and a hint of BRMC style glam and you’ve captured the sludgy riffs, intense vocals, pummeling beats and persuasive melodies to the party. Playing sublimely sleazy riffs to dazzling effect, the Bright Young People’s prospects shine brighter than the sun, illuminating the moribund music scene down to the bone. Their demo EP ‘Vol. Dirty’ features ‘In Distress’ which reroutes The Pixies’ swagger from Boston to North Wales with consummate ease. Meanwhile, ‘Good Time Girl’ takes The Jesus and Mary Chains’ battering- ram rhythm section and mixes it with a sublimely sleazy riff to dazzling effect. Do not miss them live!
