About
Crunchy guitars, soulful vocals and an utter passion for live performance.
The Blue Stones are a Midlands based, 4 piece with big ambitions. Their sound captures the raw vibe of 60's Blues and Rock, whilst also drawing on contemporary Pop influences. The result is original and energetic music, that the band put their heart and soul into playing.
All students at Coventry University, The Blue Stones formed in early 2008 after a mutual love of Blues music brought them together. Originally hailing from all over the UK, they quickly found that their individual backgrounds and influences created an exciting song writing partnership.
Although a relatively new band, The Blue Stones have already made their mark on the local music scene with a slot supporting The Paddingtons at Coventry's premier live venue - The Kasbah, and appearing at the Napton Festival alongside Bad Company. The Blue Stones have also hosted a regular music night at Escape Bar in Coventry, showcasing the best in Blues influenced music across the Midlands.
With a self recorded and produced E.P. released in October 2008, the band has one ambition - for as many people as possible to experience the unique, catchy and soulful sound that is The Blue Stones.
