Due for release in mid-March, ‘Bookends / Jurassic Coastline Blues’ is the debut release from The Black Sand, a South-London 4-piece and fine purveyors of the rock'n'groove sound beginning to emerge from London's hidden guitars. ‘J.C.B’ is an aggravated block-driven balls-out steamroller and really makes clear the band’s desire to write big tunes you can dance to. Buoyed by local radio support from Camden Community Radio and AmazingTunes.com, The Black Sand are now writing tracks for their first festival season. They intend to blow the bloody doors off Hemstock 2011 and are in the final 20 bands in the ‘King of the Mountain’ competition, tipped for a slot at Snowbombing Festival in Austria.
