Sleeping With Antares was formed over 3 years ago by Manuel and Philip in Rome, Italy. After playing several shows in Rome, they decided to move to London to pursue their passion for music both as a band and academically. In London they met Matteo, an old time friend, who joined in and brought his eclectic bass lines to the mix. With their first drummer Phil, they played several shows around London getting good responses from the various audiences of Dublin Castle, 333 Mother Bar, and Rhythm Factory. In April 2008 however, Cogger and the others parted ways. Manuel, Philip and Matteo went back to forging new songs, and together they started crafting a sound of epic proportions and stellar landscapes without forgetting the catchiness of pop hooks and awesome melodies for their new breed of post-indie rock. In November 2008 they discovered Thiago who was able to bring some serious drum licks and chops completing the line up and the Sleeping With Antares sound. Back on track with a sense of vengeance, the band is ready to take to playing as many stages as possible pouring their hearts and souls out into every note of every song.Article Comments (0)
