Since forming 2 years ago, the high energy eight piece have developed a unique breed of accessible ska, funk and hip hop which feels as much at home busked on street corners as it is played out on major festival stages. Hyped by the success of their 23 date UK Summer Festival tour which included shows at Glastonbury, Larmer Tree, Shambala and Ireland’s Electric Picnic, the seemingly unstoppable octet are still gathering momentum this Autumn by unveiling brand new contagious grooves, outrageous horn lines, thumping beats and delicately crafted conscious rhymes. The 8 dedicated members of King Porter Stomp were called to Brighton from very different backgrounds and musical persuasions and first played together in Autumn 2006. - King Porter Stomp 11 February 2010 Well, we're down to the last 20 bands and it's the final the hike to the summit to be crowned Kings of the Mountain. We really want to be a part of the action in Austria and are gonna love every minute and truely go all out to raise the roof if we get to go.
