Junkyard Choir was formed in early 2005 in south London. From the ashes of a band called "Dirt" they began to play songs about monkeys, saving the world, Santiago & smoking without fire!!!!!Described as "Contorted energetic waltzy Polka-blues rock" by the music mag OAP. Bugbear promotions say "The Clash as if rendered voodoo hoodoo by Dr John….sinister pop swishness." Independent on Sunday say 'weird ska-polka rhythms"
In 2007 they self-released the EP "Trying to save the world". The follow up is currently being recorded and will be released early 2008.
