Into Flight formed in the summer of 2006 with the sole intent of making beautiful music. Following a six month sabbatical, (during which they also changed their line up), they reformed in December 2007. They spent the long winter months writing and recording new material in their studio located deep in the Norfolk countryside.
In April 2008, Into Flight played support for post-rock legends “God Is An Astronaut” at Norwich Arts Centre. Their beautiful set of layered melodies, harmonies and vocals - contrasting with potent and searing guitar noise (and a brief burst of trumpet), received rapturous applause from a delighted near capacity crowd, and concluded with a two minute display of rhythmic drumming - with all five members finishing by playing a drum of one type or another.
Later that month, Into Flight became part of the Pit Viper family.
