Ellen the Escapades Formed after meeting at Leeds College of Music, Ellen and the Escapades originally performed acoustically as a two-piece; Ellen singing lead vocal and playing acoustic guitar, and Chris Quick keys and backing vocals. To further their sound, the addition of Jeff Schneider (Guitar), Andy Calder (Bass) and James Warrender (Drums) gave their music a new element, allowing them to play a wider array of gig nights in and around Leeds. Their musical influences include the likes of The Beatles, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Carole King, Ray LaMontagne and Marvin Gaye. Ellen and the Escapades transcend folk and soul roots to create a modern image of the singer songwriter and her band.Influences
