About
Over the course of Summer 2009 Leicester’s very own rock-metallers Black Page Turns launch their brand new 2-track EP “Nail In the Coffin” and "Simplest of Tools! showcasing vicious guitars and a creative and original new sound.
Having already played 250+ UK gigs under his previous band The Authentics, lead singer-songwriter Mike A launches their new CD with a huge dose of enthusiasm following up their compelling and successful “Blondes…” album and “Ton of Bricks E.P.” in which “[The Authentics] bring it back with a big fat chorus and some great precocious moves” (Metal Hammer, May 2008).
Jumping from that success Mike A has taken Black Page Turns into the studio to use the muscle of his past songs to bind with the sophisticated arrangements of their new material with producer Ben Ridley of Eye of the Wall recordings.
Other highlights in the past 6 months include the band interacting with their fanbase using Facebook, Myspace and Last FM whilst continuing the up-keep of a highly successful blog. Black Page Turns current CD features artwork by Dave Rocks – who has also worked with CJ and The Satellites and front-man Mike A has been busy creating both the music and script for forthcoming film projects The Feud and Bottleneck alongside the band’s commitments.
