Formed by Camden vocalist and songwriter Megane Quashie and Gallic drummer and sound engineer Guilhem Fraisse in 2005, Black Cherry fuse digital production and live instruments to create music which is an antidote to the current new-wave and post punk aesthetic. The band became complete in February 2006 with the addition of bassist James Newport, guitarist Rob Moore and keyboard player Sam Widdows. At their studio in Hackney the newly completed band worked hard on the nascent material that Gui and Meg had written, building a formidable live presence and continuing to impress a burgeoning fan base.Article Comments (0)
