First started in 2003 Venn Festival is a culmination of every type of music and art, that celebrates the ‘Maverick Musician’ and encourages the weird and wonderful oddball, via outlets in the form of electronic, dub, hip hop, punk, folk, acoustic and rock, as well as workshops for the aspiring musician or the curious part time lover. Past workshops have included Mongolian throat singing, an annual ‘Demo Derby’ (where A&R reps discuss demo’s sent in by the public to a live audience), vocal acrobatics and more.

2005 saw the birth of Venn Radio, an internet and FM frequency that broadcasts special guest DJ’s, radio art and live gig feeds.

Past line ups have included Awkward, Crash! DJ’s, Devandra Banhart, Jah Wobbles English Roots Band, Morningstar Choir and Fingathing to name a few.
