Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has slammed Status Quo after the band's guitarist accused the Manchester group of looking “bored shitless” onstage.
Francis Rossi said Oasis's lack of physicality didn't embody rock'n'roll and that singer Liam Gallagher pretended to act like a “grumpy” faced 20-year-old onstage.
“Normally I wouldn’t give a rat’s arsehole what Status Quo have got to say about anything,” Gallagher told the Sun.
“But tell those ****s from me that when I go on stage at Wembley [Stadium] next summer, I won’t be wondering about what the poster boys for Help The Aged think.”
Last month, Oasis were criticised by another veteran act, Mick Hucknall, who suggested the group were an embarrassment to their hometown of Manchester.
But Gallagher hit back, saying Hucknall's comments were "irrelevant as you are from Warrington."
As previously reported on Gigwise, Oasis will play a huge UK stadium tour next summer, which includes dates at London's Wembley stadium.
Tickets for the gigs are on sale now and available through Gigwise here or by calling our ticket hotline on 0871 230 1098.
