Beyonce is currently ahead of Britney Spears, Leona Lewis and Christina Aguilera in the race to be UK number one this weekend.
The singer's single 'If I Were A Boy' is number two in the midweek charts, two places ahead of Spears' 'Womanizer', while Lewis' 'Forgive Me' is at six.
Aguilera's single, 'Keeps Gettin' Better', is at number fourteen.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the chart race, dubbed 'Super-Monday', has provided a welcome boost to struggling singles sales in the UK.
But none of the songs is expected to usurp the UK's current number one, The X Factor finalists cover of Mariah Carey's 'Hero'.
Meanwhile, Beyonce will perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Liverpool this evening (November 6th).
